 HOOFBOOTS

Over the last few years i have ridden in several different boots including Old Macs, Easycare Epics and Easyboot Bares..... to date my favourite has been the Bares but with the release of the Easyboot Edge and Glove I see some new favourites on the horizon!  In saying a boot is my favourite - this is simply what suits my horse and I fit boots according to your horse and your needs.

With the Bare although initially being a little harder to get on and off I have found after 4-5 rides this becomes significantly easier and only takes less than 20 seconds a hoof!  There are also a few tips you can use to train the gaiter to stay back out of the way and to soften the boot (see tips page).  I find once they are on people hardly notice the boots the way they hug the hoof it is like they are not even there.  With the release of the Easyboot Edge which you can loosen for application they are very quick and easy to apply!  The Glove is even easier again but is suitable for certain hoof shapes only and not adjustable like the Edge to a hoof that doesnt fit the mould.

For pricing and fitting services in the Central/Southern Gippsland Region contact us via our Bare it All Hoof Care website.

 Easyboot Glove & Glue On

The Easyboot Glove is a fantastic new hoofboot but it does fit a very specific hoof shape.  It is minimal in parts and is a very subtle boot that you hardly see on the hoof.  If your horse does not suit the Glove then the Easyboot Edge may be a better option for you.  The glove does not have a system that enables you to adjust it to suit a hoof shape.  I recommend having your gloves fitted by a professional hoof boot fitter in your area who has a fit kit available for accurate measuring.  For the Central/Southern Gippsland Region you can contact Bare it All Hoof Care for fitting.

The Glove and glue on shells are being used with success in endurance riding by many riders across Australia.

The Glue on once again is a very specific fit.  It is basically the Glove minus the gaiter.  The glue on is also being used with success in endurance riding and is more likely suited to long distance riding and boots required to stay on for many hours or days at a time.

Easyboot Edge

The is a fantastic new boot.  Easy to apply and fits a wide range of hooves.

  • ♦ New fastening system makes boot application easier.
♦ Padded tongue adds comfort and allows the boot to stretch and flex.
♦ A more aggressive tread pattern conquers challenging footing.
♦ The gaiter is redesigned for a seamless fit.
♦ A smoother interior hugs the hoof.
  • The Easyboot Edge is a sturdy boot with a long-lasting, semi-aggressive tread. The boot opens up wide enough for the foot to slip in easily. Adjustments may be made with the "Easy Key" that comes with the boot, a screwdriver or a small coin.
The Edge has a sift padding on the tongue to ensure that the boot is not overtightened.

These boots are great for short or long-distance rides and are sold in pairs (one left and one right boot).
